What is PrimeSuite?
PrimeSuite is comprised of the following:
PrimeBase is the back-office engine developed to meet the unique recordkeeping demands of the Canadian investment fund industry, from mutual funds to segregated funds, including full support for labour sponsored funds.
PrimeBase BSO uses new business service objects to translate PrimeBase functionality into distinct services within an SOA (service oriented architecture), and provide an XML, message-based, web services interface to all PrimeBase business processes.
PrimeOE (order entry) is an investment funds order management system and FundSERV interface, designed to process all industry standard files, fund orders from order entry through to reconciliation and settlement, and non-financial messaging updates.
PrimeWeb provides web-based access to AS400 reports, security administration and documentation from the PrimeBase and PrimeOE production environments.

How does PrimeSuite work?
PrimeSuite is offered on an application service provider (ASP) basis; software, computing systems and operational support services are combined in a single business solution. The modular design provides financial institutions with the flexibility to select processing options, which are consistent with business, product and operating objectives and are proven to be a cost-effective flexible alternative to in-house solutions.
PrimeBase operates on IBM's AS400/OS400 platform and has a proven track record of accuracy and dependability. Its advanced performance characteristics allow the system to handle large volumes of transaction data smoothly and efficiently. CGI maintains one of the largest single AS400 installations in Canada, using IBM's most current AS400 LPAR (Logical Partitioned) computing hardware and software technology. A comprehensive disaster recovery plan program, including dual continuity of power source, multiple data center locations and extensive off-site recovery facilities, is available to support your PrimeBase environment.
PrimeOE connects your company to the FundSERV network using a real-time or FundSERV batch transaction interface. PrimeOE transaction edits interrogate new orders beyond Electronic Standards Group (ESG) edit compliance, allowing your company to filter transactions for minimum purchase/redemption values and authorized distributors.
