CGI to design, build and implement new Client Information Management System for Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Department of Senior and Adult Services

US$1.4 million contract to develop customized information management system

Cleveland, Ohio, March 28, 2006 -  The Cleveland-based government services practice of CGI has been selected by the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Department of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) to design, build and implement a customized client information management system. The contract award is valued at US$1.4 million.

Once completed, the comprehensive Client Information Management System (CIMS) will consolidate functionality among 18 existing stand-alone DSAS systems. The CIMS will replace the isolated systems with one common client interface providing a single, consistent view for more than 300 staff and case workers who serve agency clients. CIMS will integrate information across all four divisions within the DSAS, eliminate unnecessary data entry, and generate more accurate reporting and statistics.

Greg Robinson, director of consulting services for CGI said, “We are excited to have this opportunity to serve the Department of Senior and Adult Services and their constituents. The CIMS is a further expansion of our electronic Records and Information Management System (eRIMS) solution for human services agencies and provides a leading-edge case management platform that supports our service offerings in the human services sector.”

In addition to DSAS, other Cuyahoga County agencies that have implemented CGI’s information management systems include the Prosecutor’s Office, Employment and Family Services and the Child Support Enforcement Agency. The system also is in place at the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority.

CGI is one of the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in North America. Its Midwest regional office headquartered in Cleveland employs nearly 400.
